A lawyer’s request is a written request from a lawyer to a state or local authority, enterprise, institution or organisation for information and copies of documents needed to provide legal aid to a client (Article 24 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Bar and Practice of Law”). The authority must reply within 5 working days or, if there is a lot of information, notify an extension of up to 20 working days.
How it works
- Choose a request and fill in the form. Your details must exactly match the document by which the authority knows you: for foreigners — in Latin letters as in your passport, or in Ukrainian as in your residence permit. Any other spelling means a “no data found” reply or another person’s data.
- Check and confirm the authority’s email address (especially for TCCs — their addresses change). You are responsible for the address you confirm.
- Pay — ₴4,000 per request to one authority (package prices are on the package page). You pay once to Global Guide Service LLC; the service pays the lawyer’s fee itself.
- Sign the legal aid agreement with the lawyer (qualified e-signature or SignWell).
- The lawyer signs the request with a qualified e-signature and sends it to the authority. You receive a copy of the letter by email and a proof of sending in your account; the authority’s reply will appear in your account.
What to know before paying
- The price includes one free repeat request if the authority does not reply within the set term (including any extension).
- A reply saying “no data / not found” is a full reply from the authority.
- The content and timing of the reply depend on the authority and are not guaranteed. Once the request is sent, the service is considered provided; if the authority does not reply, we send a repeat request, but the money is not refunded.
- Before the request is sent you can cancel the order and get a full refund.
Full terms are in the public offer (the Ukrainian version is legally binding).
