On 4 September 2026, the Ministry of Social Policy announced that the government had extended the living allowance for internally displaced persons (IDPs). The maximum number of six-month payment periods rose from five to six.
What changed:
• children in eligible IDP families get the allowance extended automatically;
• according to DTKT, this is Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1087 of 03.09.2026, and the automatic extension applies to those who received the allowance before 31.08.2026;
• the resolution clarifies how to appeal Pension Fund decisions on the allowance.

If the allowance was refused or stopped, an appeal requires the Pension Fund’s decision and its reasons. A lawyer can obtain them officially through an attorney’s request. Order an attorney’s request on IDP payments.
